What are the other ingredients in OatsCreme^TM besides oats?

In our soft serve OatsCreme^TM, the other ingredients besides oats are: water, natural flavors and Vitamin E.

In our hard pack OatsCreme^TM (take-home pints), the other ingredients are: water, natural flavors, natural vegetable gums, and Vitamin E.

The natural flavorings are plant extracts. The detailed recipes that we use for flavorings are (naturally) confidential.  All ingredients are certified dairy-free and lactose-free.

How do we make it sweet?

Our process is a little like malting, in which some starches in the oat are converted to a mixture of complex, intermediate, and simple carbohydrates. The sweetness is mostly due to glucose from the oat starch. We add no sugars, refined sweeteners, or artificial sweeteners.

Is OatsCreme^TM nutritionally equivalent to oatmeal?

Pretty close. We remove coarse insoluble fiber pieces to achieve the remarkably smooth texture of OatsCreme^TM. The soluble dietary fiber, called beta-glucan, is retained. Clinical research has shown that it is the soluble dietary fiber that provides the health benefits of oat bran.

Are we going to make it organic?

We have tested organic oats from various sources and have not found any that meet our exacting standards. We will continue to test.

Yes! OatsCreme^TM is now available in convenient take-home pints.

Is OatsCreme^TM okay for Vegans?

Sure.  OatsCreme^TM is entirely free of any animal products.
