Got Lactose Intolerance?
An OatitudeTM could help!

Lactose Intolerance (LI) is the inability to digest foods that contain lactose, the main sugar in milk and other dairy products.  For the lactose intolerant, products like OatsCremeTM provide a dairy-free, lactose-free, great-tasting alternative to ice cream, milk and other dairy-based foods.

Think you may be lactose intolerant?  The following short quiz may help determine whether or not you’re right. . .and whether you have even more reason to get an Oatitude!

  • One or more members of my family is lactose intolerant.
  • I suffer or have suffered from alcoholism, Crohn’s or another bowel disease, or an intestinal disease.
  • I have a condition that requires me to use nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, aspirin and/or antibiotics.
  • I’m of Native American, Asian, African, or Mexican descent.
  • I experience abdominal pain, bloating, flatulence, diarrhea and/or stomach cramps within two hours of consuming dairy products.
  • I suffer from severe bad breath, despite practicing good oral hygiene.
Lactose Intolerance is hereditary and is usually diagnosed early in life, but it can also be caused at any time by intestine-damaging conditions or diseases.  The prevalence of LI is 75% or above within Native, Asian, African, and Mexican American populations.  Side effects of LI can be mild to severe and onset can vary from 30 minutes to 2 hours.  LI may also result in severe bad breath when indigestible foods remain in the intestines, ferment, and its gases are ultimately exhaled out.
